The chital, also known as spotted deer, chital deer, and axis deer, is a species of deer that is native to the Indian subcontinent. It was first described by German naturalist Johann Christian Polycarp Erxleben in 1777. A moderate-sized deer, male chital reach nearly 90 cm and females 70 cm at the shoulder.




The little black cormorant is a member of the cormorant family of seabirds. It is common in smaller rivers and lakes throughout most areas of Australia and northern New Zealand, where it is known as the little black shag. It is around sixty centimeters long and is all black with blue-green eyes.




The painted stork is a large wader in the stork family. It is found in the wetlands of the plains of tropical Asia south of the Himalayas in the Indian Subcontinent and extending into Southeast Asia. Their distinctive pink tertial feathers of the adults give them their name.

Great Egrets are tall, long-legged wading birds with long, S-curved necks and long , dagger-like bills. In-flight,  the long necks are tucked in and the legs extend far beyond the tip of the short tail.



The red-wattled lapwing is an Asian lapwing or large plover, a wader in the family Charadriidae. Like other lapwings, they are ground birds that are incapable of perching.

It originated in the nineteenth century from cross-breeding between native British goats and a mixed population of large lop-eared goats imported from India, the Middle East, and North Africa. It is characterized by large, pendulous ears and a convex profile.
